description
SolVantage® Ionic is a precision vapor degreasing solvent mixture of 1,2 trans-dichloroethylene, proprietary fluorinated solvents and isopropyl alcohol. SolVantage Ionic contains no HFC’s. This solvent blend is perfectly suited for vapor degreasing in modern equipment and general cleaning for the removal of polar and non-polar soils. The Ionic is well suited to remove ionic contamination in a variety of electronic applications as well as water soluble cutting oil residues. Ionic can reliably replace other cleaning solvents such as n-propyl bromide (nPB), trichloroethylene (TCE), 3M Novec®, and Chemours Vertrel®. SolVantage Ionic is non-corrosive and non-staining to a wide variety of substrates. Some selected categories of materials compatible with SolVantage Ionic include*: Most metals typically encountered during cleaning and vapor degreasing of precision parts, electronics, etc. including Copper, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium and other metals commonly used in precision parts manufacturing. Plastics and Elastomers: Polyethylene EPDM, Silicone, Acetal, Polyester, Epoxy, Polyphenyle Sulfide (PPS), PTFE,Teflon, Polyetherketone (PEK), Polysulfone Polyaryletherketone (PEEK), Phenolic Polyarylsulfone (PAS) Ionomer INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS: Polystyrene, Epichlorohydrin, Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO), Natural Rubbers, Polycarbonate, Acrylic, ABS, BUNA SolVantage Ionic removes a wide range of soils. Some categories of soils that can be removed with SolVantage Ionic include*: Buffing compounds • Corrosion Inhibiting Compounds (CICs) • Greases • Hydraulic Fluids • Oils (Drawing, Silicone) • Particulate • Metalworking Fluids: Water Soluble, Straight Oil and Synthetic, Water Soluble • Krytox • FPI Fluid • Flux/Paste Residues • Ionic Contamination *Material compatibility should always be confirmed via testing with specific contaminants under specific cleaning conditions.
